A magnificent Faculty Development Program on NAAC Accreditation Assessment (Mastering Criteria 1-to-7), with registration of more than 1000 participants is conducted by Nirmal Integrated Consultancy (Team-NIC) in association of Aggarwal Education Solutions, and International Association of Research Scholars (IARS)
Dr. Shivani Raheja being the organizing Chairman and Dr. Neha Jain being Organizing Secretary, this grand event is graced by speakers Dr. Ajay Aggarwal, Dr. Bushra Zaman, Dr. Deepak Jain, and Mr. Y. Jawahar.
Dr. Ajay Aggarwal (Director, Aggarwal Education Solution) demonstrated the structured assessment system of NAAC Accreditation and explained different expectations of NAAC from HEI in different criteria and also shared many important tips with the audience that can help them in improving their score in NAAC Assessment.
Dr. Aggarwal explained the importance of accreditation with core values of NAAC. He explained the stage-wise NAAC Accreditation Assessment Procedure and its preparation process for the Higher Education Institute (HEI). In his session, he explained the procedure of IIQA, SSR Preparation & Submission Process, Data Verification and Validation, Prequalification, Peer Review, and Assessment Outcome.
The session detailed to its audience about the expectation of NAAC from every Criteria and Key Indicators and gave tips for showcasing the best possible compliance for the maximum score in each of the seven Criteria.
Dr. Bushra Zaman (Ph.D.), Nodal Officer (Academics), World Bank TEQIP-III and Adjunct Professor, CEE, Utah State University, USA explained with different statistical and factual data about the Education Quality Transformation, its Challenges and Way-Forward. She talk about role of World Bank and different Governmental Regulatory and Supporting organizations in improvement of quality of education in HEI.
Dr. Deepak Jain (Chief Advisor and Process Consultant) explained the role of Software tools as a weapon helping HEI in their struggle for maximum score in NAAC Assessment. He explained about different open source, free, freemium, and paid software tools available to help improving the NAAC assessment score for different Criteria.
Dr. Jain explained how Team-Collaboration tools can help creating required tracks and evidences for different criteria of NAAC Assessment. He gave demonstration of FEATHER: The Lightest LMS, a Learning Management System capable to work with minimum internet speed, minimum connection time, and in worst connectivity conditions yet giving the best possible results in online learning automation.
Dr. Jain then explained about Automated/Robotic Auditing Systems and Journal Management Systems as important weapons in the journey to the best scores in NAAC Assessment. He demonstrated ResEarth: the Journal Management System of IARS that automates the eJournal Publishing Workflow from Call of Paper Announcements, to Accepting Author Submissions, Article Review Process, Copy-Editing, Scheduling, Publication, and Distribution of eJournal.
In last minutes of the session, importance of self-Assessment and understanding readiness for final NAAC Assessment were emphasized. The limelight of this part of the session remains in the demonstration of NASASS, the NAAC Accreditation Self-Assessment and Scoring Software developed by Team-NIC.
Dr. Jain demonstrated how NASASS helps in collection of data for SSR, Auto-compute the NAAC Assessment Criteria Scoring, and provides a ready picture of preparedness of HEI before actual assessment. He explained how the software can be used to identify the strong and weak areas and the opportunities of improvement in the NAAC Accreditation Assessment Score before the actual assessment.
